Summer Basketball

This summer CMRC will offer an exciting opportunity for girls entering grades 3-8 to sharpen their skills and have some fun over the summer.

This program will be formatted as a skills and drills; where we focus half the time on fundamentals (shooting, dribbling, passing, defense, and rebounding) and scrimmage the remainder of the time.

Our goal is to offer girls the opportunity to sharpen their skills over the summer while having fun. We welcome all skill levels to join us, come when you can – there is no requirement to attend all sessions. We will mix-up players and groups weekly to ensure that everyone has fun and learns some new skills.

Registration is $45 per player. All refunds are subject to a $25 administrative fee to cover CMRC costs. There are no refunds after the first session of Skills and Drills.

There will be no uniforms – just bring your basketball, shoes, and water.

Concussion Protocol

State law requires that a youth athlete who is suspected of sustaining a concussion or other head injury in a practice or game shall be immediately removed from play. This injured athlete may not return until they have obtained written clearance from a licensed health care provider trained in the evaluation and management of concussions and head injuries. The term “youth sports program” is defined as a program organized for recreational athletic competition or instruction for participants who are under the age of 19 years. Volunteer Notice

Becoming a volunteer with the Baltimore County Department of Recreation and Parks is a three-step process: contact your local community office, apply and undergo a background check, and receive authorization. Learn more about the Volunteer Registration Program.

Volunteers must submit an application and be authorized every year. The process is free for volunteers.
