About Our Coaches
9U – Jamie Bakert
Jamie Bakert has been proudly coaching Carroll Manor Baseball for over five years, starting in tee ball and serving as head coach in the Rookie League for the past three years. He has also been an assistant coach for the rising 11U Cardinals team for the past two years and is excited to coach the inaugural 9U Cardinals alongside Ryan Fox. In his early years, Jamie played both varsity baseball and American Legion in Chatham, New Jersey.
When he’s not on the baseball field, he enjoys golfing and traveling with his wife, two sons, and daughter, who all attend Carroll Manor Elementary School. He also leads the Junior Golf program at Eagle’s Nest Country Club and serves on the Education Foundation for Baltimore County Public Schools and the Carroll Manor Recreational Council.
Professionally, Jamie has worked in technology for over 20 years and currently leads a team at Microsoft that partners with schools and hospitals.
Jamie believes baseball should be competitive yet enjoyable, fostering a love for the game and a spirit of teamwork and sportsmanship.
10U – Ryan Fox
As an up-and-coming 9U travel baseball coach, I bring a wealth of experience and passion for the game to the field. As a multi-year three-sport varsity letterman in baseball, basketball and football, I understand the dedication, fundamentals, skill and athleticism required to excel in sports. I have over 15+ years of coaching experience across a variety of sports, coaching athletes ranging from 4 years of age through seniors in high school. This diverse coaching background has equipped me with versatile techniques and the ability to connect with young athletes. My goal is to foster a positive, competitive environment where players can develop their skills, learn the importance of teamwork, and cultivate a lifelong love and respect of baseball.
10U – Lucas Chrencik
Lucas Chrencik has been involved in Carroll Manor’s baseball program for four years. After a season as assistant coach for the 9U team, this will be his first season as the head coach of the 10U Cardinals team. Lucas prides himself at being able to make baseball both fun and competitive so that his players are continuously developing. His philosophy centers around getting players as many reps as possible at practice so they are confident when an opportunity arises to make a play during a game.
By day, Lucas is a defense attorney with Goodell DeVries Leech & Dann LLP in Baltimore, Maryland, working with physicians and hospitals in various medical malpractice and other lawsuits.
11U – David Levinstim
Dave Levinstim is beginning his third season as a head coach in the Carroll Manor travel baseball program and fourth season in the program overall. He has coached t-ball through 13U travel baseball and is also an assistant coach in the Baltimore Redbirds program. In the mid-90’s, Dave played centerfield for American Legion travel teams in New York.
Professionally, Dave troubleshoots manufacturing problems in chemical plants. Outside of work and coaching baseball, Dave enjoys traveling with his wife and three sons.
12U – Andrew Callahan
Andrew has been coaching youth sports for over 10 years and has been with Carroll Manor Travel Baseball for the past 5 years. With over 10 years of total experience, coaching has become a way of life for Andrew and something he truly enjoys. Andrew played 3 years of varsity baseball at Parkville High School, where he achieved numerous accolades, including being selected to the All-County Team during his senior year. Andrew also played 2 years at CCBC Dundalk, where his team went on to win the Regional JUCO Division II Championship.
Andrew loves the game and seeing the kids improve. There is no greater joy for him than watching all the hard work in practice start to pay off during games. He creates a positive and supportive environment that encourages players to work hard and strive for excellence. Andrew has resided in Baltimore County his entire life and now lives in northern Baltimore County with his wife and three children. Andrew is also an avid Ice Hockey player/fan. He still competes in local adult leagues.
