Leeanne Gibson

Leanne started her dance training at the age of 5 at Honeygo Regional Center of Dance. She studied ballet, tap, jazz, pointe, lyrical, and modern, where she performed with their dance company. Here Leanne worked as a teacher’s assistant for ages 3-15.

In 2010 she began training at A Step Ahead Dance Center where she performed with the ASADC Company. Later, she studied dance at CCBC under Tommy Parlon where she earned her AFA in dance.

From 2011-2014, she danced with the CCBC Dance Company and earned the award for Outstanding Achievement in a Dance Company in 2012-2013. Here, she worked with choreographers such as Melanie George, Alvin Mayes, and Peter Pucci.

Transferring to UMBC in 2015, Leanne studied under Doug Hamby where she had the opportunity to perform in multiple shows, event galas, and attend multiple ACDA conferences.

In 2017 she earned her BA in dance and graduated magna cum laude. Leanne has been performing with the Trajectory Dance Project since 2018 and has performed at The Dance Loft on 14, Baltimore Theatre Project, and the Baltimore Museum of Art. Currently, Leanne is teaching children of all ages across the Baltimore area. She would like to further her education by pursuing her Masters degree in Dance in the future.
