Welcome to the Carroll Manor Girls' Lacrosse Clinic for
the spring, 2009. The Clinic will run from the beginning of
April until the end of May, and involve one practice per week
on the weekends (dates/times/location tba).
The goal of the Clinic is to introduce the next generation
of girls' lacrosse players to the fundamentals of lacrosse
in a fun and instructive environment. The first several weeks
will be used to focus on developing individual skills - throwing,
catching, ground ball pick up, shooting, defensive and offensive
positioning. During the last several weeks, there will be
opportunities for some scrimmages, during which the girls
will be introduced to field position and game strategy.

Parent
Participation
In order to make our program a success, we rely greatly upon
the involvement of parents. Volunteer coaches to help with
drills and coaching will be required at the clinic in order
to maximize individual attention for each girl. Prior knowledge
of lacrosse is not a requirement to participating as a parent
coach but is certainly welcome.
Equipment Required
All players are responsible for providing their own stick, mouthguard (must
be colored - NOT clear and white) and protective eyewear for
all practices and scrimmages. Protective eyewear must be certified
by the protective eyewear certification council (PECC) and
must be in compliance with ASTM F803-30 Standards for Lacrosse.
Go to www.uslacrosse.org
for a list of manufacturers and models of eyewear meeting
these specifications and for other information on protective
eyewear.
