• 2008-2009 Basketball registration is now in progress. See link to the registration system on the left side of this web page.

Registrations fees, Dates, Regulations is as follows:

• ALL REGISTRATION FEES ARE DUE PRIOR TO THE START OF THE SEASON. Waitlisted registrations are required to send registration fee after transfer confirmation is received with an age group listed.
  


• Basketball Clinic is for ages 5/6. Clinic registration is from September 15, 2008- December 16, 2008. The registration fee is $55. The clinic waitlist registration is from December 17, 2008 to January 20, 2009. If you are on the waitlist you will be charged a late fee. If you are on the waitlist, please do not send payment until you receive a confirmation that you have been transferred off the waitlist. The registration fee is $75 for waitlisted registrations. Everyone pays the late fee without exception who registers on the waitlist and is assigned to a team.
  


• Boys and Girls basketball is for ages 7-18. Registration is from September 15, 2008 - November 17, 2008. The registration fee is $55 for 7/8 Boys and Girls and $70 for ages 9 -18. A late fee will be accessed on any registrations after October 29, 2008. Everyone pays the late fee without exception who registers after that date. The registration fee with late fee is $75 for 7/8 Boys and Girls and $90 for ages 9 - 18. The waitlist registration for ages 7-18 is from November 18, 2008 - December 31, 2008. If you are on the waitlist you will be charged a late fee. If you are on the waitlist, please do not send payment until you receive a confirmation that you have been transferred off the waitlist. Assignment to a team is not guaranteed. The registration fee is $75 for the 7/8 age group and $90 for the 9-18 age group waitlisted registrations. Everyone pays the late fee without exception who registers on the waitlist and is assigned to a team.
• TRAVEL- If you are only playing travel, the registration fee still needs to be paid. Everyone pays the registration fee without exception. Any travel expenses which are outlined by the coach are separate and above and beyond the registration fee.



• FAMILY MAXIMUM- The family maximum registration fee is $150. When you register and you enter all your players at the same time, you will get a confirmation that will automatically reflect this if you total goes over $150. If you register two children, and go in at a later date and register a third the full registration amount will show on the third child. If your total amount is over $150 please only send $150 since that is the family maximum.



• PLEASE DO NOT COMBINE REGISTRATION PAYMENTS WITH ANY OTHER SPORT ON ONE CHECK. . EACH SPORT NEEDS A SEPARATE CHECK. ONE CHECK FOR PER PROGRAM. PLEASE MAIL THEM TO THE PROPER PO BOXES WITH PROGRAM(S) NOTED ON THE ENVELOPE.



• Age cut off date is 12/31/2008.
  
  5/6 Clinic: players born between 1/1/2002 – 12/31/2003
  7/8 Boys/Girls players born between 1/1/2000 – 12/31/2001
  9/10 Boys/Girls players born between 1/1/1998 – 12/31/1999
  11/12 Boys/Girls players born between 1/1/1996 – 12/31/1997
  13-15 Boys players born between 1/1/1993 – 12/31/1995
  13-18 Girls players born between 1/1/1990 – 12/31/1995

• If Baltimore County public schools are closed, OR after school programs are cancelled due to inclement weather, OR the Baltimore County Snow Emergency Plan is in effect, all scheduled games/practices are cancelled. Cancellation information will be posted here. Our policy is that cancelled (regular season) games will not be re-scheduled.

• All our practices and games are held at either St James Academy (SJA), Jacksonville Elementary (JAX) or Carroll Manor Elementary (CM).

• Please read and help us enforce these important rules for the safety of the participants and to help us ensure our continued usage of the gyms for the basketball program!

  SJA Gym

  1. Food, water, gum, or drinks of any kind are NOT allowed inside the gym. All water bottles, etc. should be placed in the entrance area (near the bathrooms & water fountains). There are no exceptions to this policy.

  2. During a game, ONLY those currently playing are allowed on the courts. This includes pre-game warm-ups, timeouts and halftime.

  3. Basketballs (other than the ball being used for gameplay) should be placed and kept on the ballracks during a game.

  4. All spectators, siblings, etc. need to remain in the area of the gym, not in the hallways, etc.

  5. NO wheeled shoes/"Heelys" allowed on the gym floor.

  Jacksonville Gym

  1. For weekday games, the gym will open at 6:02 PM. This new time will allow the staff to clear the play center, and safely open the gate. The gym door will remain locked until that stated time. The first game will being at 6:15PM. It is imperative that only those participating in the game are allowed on the floor to warmup. This will allow us to start the first game at that designated time.

  2. All participants MUST enter through the gym door and NOT the front entrance.

  3. During a game, ONLY those currently playing are allowed on the courts. This includes pre-game warm-ups, timeouts and halftime.

  4. Basketballs (other than the ball being used for gameplay) should be placed and kept in the ball carriers during a game.

  5. All spectators, siblings, etc. need to remain in the area of the gym, not in the hallways, etc.

• Note: there are NO playing time guarantees for any travel team.
