  • Clinic begins next Sunday (see times below). There is still time to sign up, so please invite a friend. Participants must be registered prior to playing.

Coaches - Anyone who volunteered to help coach, please show up 15 minutes early.

Uniforms - Jerseys will be distributed on the first day. The gym can be slightly chilly. As the season progresses we will form teams and play small games. Often we will ask the children to change their reversible jersey from blue to white. I was surprised to discover (a few years ago) that some boys were too shy to change their shirts in public. If your son is shy, please have him wear a shirt underneath.

Having fun - If your child isn't having fun, we are doing something wrong. Please let one of the coaches know if your child is not having fun.

    Days:
Every Sunday in Jan and Feb. For possible snow cancellations, please see the webpage. No emails will be sent.

    Times:
-All of the girls will play in one group, but the boys have been split into 4 groups based on age (youngest group starting at 1PM)

CMES 1:00 - 2:00 PM all boys born on or after 20 April 2006

    2:00 - 3:00 PM all boys born between 1 Nov 2005 and 19 April 2006

    3:00 - 4:00 PM all boys born between 1 July 2005 and 31 Oct 2005

4:00 - 5:00 PM all boys born on or before 30 June 2005

ALL Girls 5:00 -6:00 PM at CMES. If we get a significant last minute surge of girls we may switch (on 15 Jan) to two groups at 1 & 2 PM at JES.

Travel Teams / Information
  • Note: there are NO playing time guarantees for any travel team. Please note that all travel players are required pay the registration fee, but there will be additional costs involved with travel which your coach will tell you about. The registration fee and the additional cost of being on a travel team are two different items. The family maximum does not apply to travel players as far as travel expenses are concerned. All players must be registered on line and the registration fee paid in order for them to participate in tryouts and to be rostered.

  • Travel tryouts are completed if you have any questions please contact the appropriate coach listed below.

  • ****Pricing Policy for All Travel Basketball Players****
All travel coaches will be given a check from the basketball program to help defray the cost of the league, each travel player should expect to pay an additional amount. The minimum amount would be $75 and this could easily be MUCH higher depending on the number of leagues and tournaments your team enters. Your travel coach should clearly discuss and you should clearly understand the financial costs before you commit to playing travel basketball.

Uniforms: In an effort to control cost, CMRC Travel Basketball has adopted one standard uniform. You may use uniforms previously purchased, but moving forward, the ONLY travel uniforms permitted to be worn are the official CMRC Travel Team Uniforms. These uniforms currently run about $70.00. CMRC Basketball has committed to the parents that we will do all in our power to continue to use the same uniform for at least 3 years (2008-2009 being the first season). Obviously we are at the mercy of the supplier, but this was discussed with the supplier prior to selecting a uniform.

Registration fees: Each travel player will register in the appropriate age group and pay the corresponding fee for that age group. Travel players are always strongly encouraged to participate in the in-house league. There is no additional fee for playing in-house.
